Fans expect Square Enix to deliver their most awaited games, Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Kingdom Hearts 3, in 2017. In an interview with Famitsu, Director Tetsuya Nomura confirmed that the development of the two games still has ways to go before release. Developers cannot assure that both games would arrive this year but fans expect one of the two.

Nomura tells Famitsu that fans would have to wait for much longer for the release of the remake of Final Fantasy 7 and Kingdom Hearts 3. While dwelling on the topic of Kingdom Hearts 3, Testsuya admits that he cannot make sweeping statements about the game. The developmental process of Kingdom Hearts 3 appears different than what the developers have done so far.

Square Enix has progressed with unannounced worlds but some still remain untouched. Developers cannot show off the state of these worlds since they appear incomplete. As for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, the game shows steady progress but would definitely take more time to finish.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake & Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Date Still Unknown

Nomura apologizes to the fans for taking too long with the remastered Final Fantasy 7 and Kingdom Hearts 3. Despite the delay, he assures fans that the two upcoming games would meet the high expectations of the fans. He hinted that both games would have certain surprises that fans would love.

While waiting for the remake of Final Fantasy 7 and Kingdom Hearts 3, Kingdom Hearts 2.8 would first come out on January 12, 2017. Fans can play the upcoming game on the PS4 and Xbox One before the two other anticipated titles get released. Square Enix has not yet given the release dates for the remake of Final Fantasy 7 and Kingdom Hearts 3.
