The Donald Trump inauguration is nearing and an update that a group is giving free marijuana joints on THE day is echoing. What will happen on this day?

Donald Trump inauguration: time to legalize Cannabis?

Per WUSA 9, the “giveaway” will start at 8 am on the west side of Dupont Circle, Washington DC. The marchers will then proceed to the National Mall where the “protest” will start.

The main message is that “it’s time to legalize cannabis at the federal level,” said Adam Eidinger, founder of DCMJ. The group of DC residents started and helped get the initiative to pass 71 in the District. Initiative 71 made it legal to have two ounces or less or marijuana, to grow it, and to give it away–but not to sell it.

The marijuana giveaway is legal, as long as it’s done in DC. “We don’t want any money exchanged whatsoever, this is a gift for people who come to Washington, DC,” he said. There will 4,200 gifts, to be exact. Then, at 4 minutes and 20 seconds into Trump’s speech (420 being the known code for weed), they will light up. That part is most definitely illegal.

Eidinger said this is not an anti-Trump event or even an attempt at disrupting the ceremony. Everyone is welcome.

“HOLLYWeeD”

This news comes after a prankster scaled a fence and altered the iconic Hollywood sign to read “HOLLYWeeD”.

Chris Baumgart, chairman of the Hollywood Sign Trust, plans to meet with officials for debriefing on the concern and consequently look into ways to prevent similar acts. “The surveillance system is like a chain,” Baumgart said to the Los Angeles Times.

The prankster could face a misdemeanor trespassing charge, officials said Sunday. Yet, police have stopped the search for suspects. Investigators declared the sign is not damaged.

In conclusion, what could this mean for Cannabis supporters? Are you ready for the Donald Trump inauguration on the 20th?
