According to Reddit user, Activision has set the Destiny 2 release date between the dates of Nov. 4, 2017, and Nov. 18, 2017. One user claims that the sequel to Destiny: The Taken King would have the title Destiny 2: Forge of Hope. The first Destiny game received several positive which led to its success, allowing Bungie to develop its sequel, Destiny 2.
Stevivor reported the plot that Destiny 2 followed which occurred to the ending events of the first Destiny DLC. The story includes the attacking of Cabal forces which left the civilians and tower mentors of a city defenseless. The Guardian would have to fight the ones responsible, the Cabal forces, and reclaim the city from them.
In the Guardian’s quest in reclaiming the city, he will discover long lost stories of Queen Mara Sov and the motives of The Exo Stranger. The sequel would finish with the tower and the city fighting back against the Cabal empire together with the Guardian. It would also give way to the Guardian to encounter, engage in combat, and defeat the leader of the Cabal.
