What’s included in the Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition?
Microsoft Studios partnered with THQ Nordic to create the Windows 10 retail version of Halo Wars 2. The standard edition costs $60, while the Ultimate Edition costs $80. Gamers who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition digital download will also get a number of benefits:
- Access to the game four days before the actual launch (February 21).
- The Ultimate Edition will contain all of the game’s Season Pass.
- The Ultimate Edition will contain an enhanced “remastered” version of Halo Wars called Halo Wars: Definitive Edition.
The standard edition will contain the code for gamers to download the full version of the game, and little else. Gaming fans say that the $20 difference is well worth it when compared to the standard edition. However, some gamers argue that they only want to experience the full game, and is not interested in the extras afforded by the Ultimate Edition.
Halo Wars 2 Gameplay & Plot
The gameplay will be very similar to the previous 2009 game. Players will command armies from two factions: the humans represented by the United Nations Space Command and the Banished, which also replaces the Alien Covenant from the previous game.
The campaign mode will contain 13 missions, and will also support cooperative gameplay. Playable units will include infantry, aircraft, and land vehicles. Six players can also play in the games’ various multiplayer modes.
In addition, the game will continue the Halo story after the events of the Halo 5: Guardians. Halo Wars 2 will feature new characters like Captain James Cutter, Professor Anders, and an entire crew aboard a new ship names Spirit of Fire.
The human crew will fight the Banished, a group of aliens that rose to power after the fall of the Covenant. For more up-to-date entertainment and tech news, keep reading TechPlz.
